Churches Together

Three years ago, the leaders of all the Churches in Ledbury, the Church of Ledbury, set out on a new adventure together. We started to come together to pray every Thursday. The leaders meet at 7am and everyone is welcome. And prayer is also organised for 12pm and 7pm.

Since then God has done some amazing things amongst us and the sense of unity and common purpose has grown.

We now organise a wide range of events together and have appointed an Ecumenical Minister to work across the churches to spearhead our joint activity.

Below is a digest of the various activities coordinated by the Revd. Tony Hodder on behalf of the church in Ledbury.

17:21

We have given the project the name 17:21 since its basis is around that verse from John’s gospel.

“I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

At our heart is our continued desire to pray and worship together so that we can welcome God’s kingdom into our church and community.

Monday Prayer & Praise

On Monday evenings we have ecumenical worship at the Baptist Church at 8pm. Usually 4 or 5 churches are represented. In recent weeks there has been a deep sense of soaking in God’s presence and allowing healing to permeate the meeting.

Quiet Space

Ledbury Methodist Church host a short quiet reflection on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month (except August) at 9:45am. It’s a short reading or reflection, perhaps some music, but always a long period of gentle silence. It lasts for no more than 30 minutes and you are welcome to stay on for coffee and croissants.

7 - 12 -7

Every Thursday we meet to pray at 7am, 12pm and 7pm at St Michael’s Church.

This is still at the core of our activity and will remain so. We would encourage everyone to come along if you can and be involved as we seek God together.

Youth Work

The youth drop-in continues two nights a week and is well attended and supported. A potentially exciting opportunity has arisen to consider broadening the scope of the youth provision in Ledbury.

Coffee No. 1

We meet here from 6pm to 8pm every second Friday of the month. The sharing of social time together has been extremely well attended and enjoyed. Please come along and try and invite someone for a chat and a coffee.

Noah's Camp

The dates for this year’s camp are now available. It is August 13-17. This is a family camp open to all and speakers include Christy Wimber and Father Gabriel Joseph CFR. More information and booking details are available at;
